Psychosis can happen to anyone and like any other illness, it can be treated. The earlier psychosis is recognised and treated, the better the chances of recovery.

Outcomes of this research work will not only significantly contribute to the basic understanding of the disease process but also provide a better emnas of identifying individuals who are at imminent risk of developing psychosis. These would enable very early intervention and the prevention of complications and disabilities. It would also pave the way for more effective treatments.
